Marblehead Veterans Middle School Parent Council Organization
Dear Parents & Guardians:
Welcome to the Marblehead Veterans Middle School. As parents or guardians of children attending MVMS, you are automatically a member of the MVMS PCO. But wait a minute, you say? Why isn’t it a PTO...what has changed since elementary school? What does that C stand for?
The short answer is that our name is the MVMS Parent’s Council or PCO. But what the Co really stands for is
Community – the PCO is a working relationship: forging a partnership of parents, teachers, staff, and the administration of Veterans Middle School.
Communication – the PCO is a home-school conversation: parents gain vital information on how the school works as well as the opportunity to share your insights and concerns. Both voices can be heard.
Commitment – the PCO is parents who volunteer their time to support & enrich the curriculum and enhance the educational experience of every child in our school.
Won't you join us? We invite you to come to the first PCO/SBMT meetings to see what we’re about. Watch your e-mail inbox for monthly updates. Becoming active is really easy – and it really makes a difference!!
